Unrelated question, anyone know how to find the owner of a car by the VIN? Would like to buy back one of my old Mustangs.

Yea, I was doing it correctly, it just didn't like that I was using an Iphone, did it on my desktop and it worked perfectly.

If you're doing this for buying a car, you should run both a carfax and an Autocheck. I have run into multiple cases where accidents and other incidents were listed on one and not the other.

Ditto on both sides, just depends on what dealer used to file a claim against a vehicle history. Carfax was clean on an Ss and autocheck showed certificate of destruction in Indiana

Does anyone have another autocheck "link". This was working great the last 3 months, with one someone linked on page 1 but today I just noticed it stopped working. Anyone got another one they don't mind sharing?

Anyways

(Thanks again OP).

Another thing was does anyone have a connection to find out a vin # to a vehicle by license plate ? I have some insurance b.s going on and was going to pay some random person on craigs to pull this information but I dont know if its legit or not.

I'm sure the dealership that everyone was using to run the Autochecks either had their subscription expire or they got an insane bill.
