I would love it if he went to Netflix or Amazon to do an original series with his TG co-hosts. Clarksons co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May have all but flatout said they will NOT do the show without him. Their contracts were up in a month or so anyways...They could call the new show wrong gear, missed gear, blown shift or some **** like that

Agreed. The show will never be the same anyway. Might as well keep the guys together and start a new project. As popular as the original series is, they would have no issue finding sponsers for a new gig.
