I have seen a white Fiero with a sc 3800 at coffee and cars a couple times. It was done well and the owner knew his stuff. If you make it to coffee and cars look around for it.

I bought a 2001 Buick LeSabre with a 3.8L today ($200). I decided to go with the aftermarket blower kit on the NA motor. The planned outcome will make around 300 FWHP. It will be a lengthy process but I will update with pictures as I find and fab parts. Next I will try and source the Getrag 5spd.

There are two fieros near me that I believe are abandoned. I am trying to get in contact with the owner. They are at a business that is closed. I contacted the newspaper that wrote an article about the family/business but they said they didn't have any contact info. Now i am posting on the FB page of my neighborhood to see if anyone knows them.

at least one of them is a formula (I dont know fieros so I am not sure exactly what that means). one white. one black. white one is on cinder blocks, the black is at least a roller.

I know the guy who did the swap in that car. He does great work, he's doing a 3800SC swap for me.

You realize that its not the HP that's the issue with these car so much as the trans.. the getrag 4/5 sps are not very good with ratios and they don't really make gear sets.. that is why there not very fast for the hp they go.. just wrong all together..

and fyi.. Dayton is local to Houston.. more so then BC

I am not sure why you brought up Dayton, BC is south of Houston. I know you have been down here. The gearing will be fine. I am not looking to set records. It's just some cheap fun and my wife really likes Fieros.

If your worried about the old getrag you always swap in a newer F23 (5speed) or F40 (6speed).

The Getrag is low mileage and seems to be in excellent shape. If it gives me fits or the gearing ends up to aweful, I will begin to gather the F23 parts. This is not by far my first swap but it is my first Fiero swap so I am keeping stupid simple first. This car is for my wife and she more so just likes to know she could drive fast if she chose to. I will no doubt, post up a donut video or two later.

This exactly the same thing I plan to do. I should be picking up an '87 2M4 this week for $250. I want to pick up a donor car with a 3800 SC. The car I'm getting int in quite the same shape, but it's REALLY not bad off for the price. The biggest thing it needs is a running engine.

Today was half price at pick a part. I got a complete Supercharged 2001 3800 out of a buick for $230.

I hope to get started with the actual swap real soon.

Totally forgot about that yesterday. I needed a few pets and I have been waiting on that day. That's my damn luck.

L36/67 with a big turbo. Motors are cheap, take a beating and have decent aftermarket support. 3800perf, intense, zzp, wbodystore, etc. you can find used parts on clubgp, regalgs and grandprixforums.net. Have fun, have several friends with 3800 swapped fieros, one running mid 9's.
