Default Houston area Transmission rebuild shop/recommendations

Hey guys, does anyone have a good shop around the Houston area for a trans rebuild? I have a 2000 4L60E that I need to have gone over before I put it back in my 56 F100.

Thanks for the help

yeah i've had someone else recommend them to me. I called them, and a basic rebuild is around $1,300 to $2,000. I'm sure they do good work, but jeez thats steep for a basic build. I do have a circle d converter that i'm very happy with. may check out a few other places.

I know that these guys are not in Houston, but check them out to compare prices - http://www.centurytransmission.com/
They do really good work as well, from what I have read and been told.
Good luck with your rebuild.

Juan's Transmission in Pasadena. He can keep a 4l60e together in a 9 second truck and did I picked up a half second after my rebuild.

Maybe someone has some contact info for James Lovelady? I know that's going way back but I had success with him back in the day.

I had a good experience with Kyle Baker, 713.859.7159. Good build, good price, honest guy...tons of experience.

For a stock/moderate power driver, take it to Kyle. If you have serious power or racing...Crash is right, Circle D will save you headaches.
