Smile Needing T-56 help in college station

Working on a 1998 Z-28. The trans was rebuilt by a place in Dallas a Level 1 build. About 30 k on the rebuild. The trans makes a growling noise at low speeds ( 5 mph and below ) when the clutch is pushed in.When it makes the noise you can pop it out of gear and the noise stops. The trans shifts great at any RPM and downshifts shifts great. The throw out bearing sounds like it making a noise also. I'm going to be doing a head and cam swap soon (glad I bought the parts while I had the funds) Have a lifter going bad is the reason for the teardown and while I have the engine out I will have the trans looked at also. Problem is I really don't have the funds to rebuild the trans taking to a shop and rebuild was going to try and do it myself or ask someone for help and hopefully I can find someone that will do a repair on the side or on weekends.
Please help...thank you in advance,
Sammy
