Default Royal Purple Raceway bringing back Sunday funday grudge

Starting May 8th Royal Purple is bringing back Sunday fun day grudge racing from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Slicks and drag radials only. I hope they get plenty of participation and not a bunch of prep wine.

We may have to organize and go...soon. Work is wide open right now though. Always some BS!

Hell yeah!! Thats awesome. Hopefully the participation will be good. Usually sunday nights is HMP and they are packed.

We need some 1/4 grudge action.

HMP will keep a lot of that crowd because they will let you run any POS W/O regard to safety. I hope there will be enough left for RPR. On another good note, Lonestar Motorsports Park is for sale. I hope someone buys it and makes it great again. I wish it could be moved south. LOL

I disagree. I bet with all the BS at HMP lately RPR will see some of that action. Also RPR doesn't "tech" for ****. I've never been asked a single question about safety and my car runs well over 150mph

With that said, as long as prep is as good as Friday night, I'll check it out May 8th. I planned on going Friday anyways.

While RPR doesn't do a preflight type check every time, I have never even seen a tech at HMP. I have seen many people sent packing at RPR due to no cage, no battery hold down, etc. I hope you are right about the participation subject. As far as track prep goes, Street Outlaws gets it done W/O much if any prep.

5/15 - They have some bracket series going on

5/22 - Sunday Funday, Finally i can take my time to go do some testing without having to worry about having to load everything up quckly after work and the miles of street tire cars when i do get there.

Great of rpr to do ths and make it Radial/Slick only!

They just scribble a number on the side of my car and never bother me again for the rest of the night. It's been the same with the rest of the **** boxes I race with also. AndI hope that street outlaws comment was a joke lol

Last time I was hat rpr they didn't even pop my hood or bed cover in the red s10. Didn't check to see if I had a helment or jeans on. Just rolled up handed them my tech card told him nt and he put my numbers on. 30 second tech at the most.

I'm happy the Sunday racing will be radials and slicks only. Really hoping it all works out

The last 8 times I've been there this was the case. I've actually never popped my hood or had to get out of my car at RPR

I think if they would make it like Friday nights were any car can run, they would see more cars, cause most work Friday's and Sunday is a day a lot more people could enjoy the day of racing.

The point that is to make where the guys trying to make some test hits and grudge races go down don't have to sit and wait on everyone with street tire cars. Don't get me wrong I encourage everyone to get to the strip but the serious folks needs some time as well. Get yourself some slicks or drag radials and get in where you fit in.
