Picked up a new car
I've been around the lsX scene for some time, starting with a 99 Camaro SS built by MTI back in the early 2000s, and progressing through a bunch of camaros, firebirds, mustangs, hot rods, etc. The corvette has always been my unicorn, and my ex wife who I was married to for 9 years was always completely against the idea of a corvette. Well, long story short, I got rid of the wife and a year later I've purchased this C6. I can't believe I've waited this long. It's a 2007 with a mod here and there, and it is just a phenomenal car.
I just need to put the stock grill back in and paint the intercooler black, no point in giving any secrets away. Pretty much all I want to do to it in the near future is purchase a radar detector, HUD and backup camera/touch screen radio. Eventually I'm sure I'll end up adding meth injection and some other goodies.

I also want to give props to Jody Pawlak at Speed Logic Inc
https://www.facebook.com/speedlogicinc/
for the job he did taking the clutch out, dealing with Mcleod (and me) during the clutch warranty process and putting it all back together and going through the whole car to make sure everything was solid. He was definitely meticulous and showed great pride in his work. I won't hestitate to take the vette back to him the next time I need anything done (that I can't do).

Yes sir it is! I'm really appreciative of everything Neil's done for me in the deal and how well he took care of the car. Unfortunately now for the car it's not going to be a low mileage garage queen any longer, I have every intention of driving this thing. I'm sure the Vette purists will cringe but meh. Why let a car sit and collect dust.

I never understood the garage queen aspect of owning a car. I will drive mine until the wheels fall off, and then I'm going to put more wheels on it and do it again!
My 2006 Suburban has 240K on it on the original 5.3.
My 2000 Camaro had 159K on the V6 (overheated twice - no damage) when I started the swap process. The motor is now going into someone else's car.
The wife's 98 BMW Z3 has 135k on it. Hell, her 2013 Jeep Compass already has 45k on it!

shoo my 2015 Ram 1500 already has 34k miles on it and its just over a year old. I'm not gonna go that nuts with this car, but I'll drive it to work a couple times a week and take it on trips with the girlfriend frequently.

Honestly, that is what I probably will be doing with mine after it's all said and done with. An LS3 stroker with 3" true duals dumped through Magnaflow bullets will be pretty obnoxious for a daily driver. Not going to say that I won't enjoy it being obnoxious, just not every day...

Now see, I don't consider that a garage queen. You drive it regularly.
Obviously I'm going to stay clear of driving it if there's the possibility of messing anything up in it. That's why I have the 'burb. The rain used to not bother me, but, when this car is finished there will be not way to keep it on the road in the rain on our lovely South MS roads! I'm not worried about getting it wet or dirty, just keeping it straight when I press the gas pedal...
