Haha it was worth a shot. Yeah his car is a solid 9/10 car. Crazy even the 02's are now 14-15 years old so a 9/10 15 year old car is still pretty nice.

I really wanted that firehawk you had but i didnt have the money to spend at the time. It looked beautiful and make great power for a DD type street car.

My old Borla adjustable was the same way. Only bad thing for me is it was already on the car when I bought it and the guy didnt have any of the exhaust plates so it was wide open until I made my own plate and shut that side down completely. It was definitely a bit raspy and poppy sounding for my taste. Glad youre enjoying it now with that side restricted a bit more, its a pretty nice sounding exhaust when the majority of the flow is going through the muffler haha.

Borla probably makes more power than any other full exhaust for an F body when it is all the way open. It probably sounds better than any system when it is all the way closed. Just bite the bullet and buy the Borla specific cut out by QTP. You will be very happy you did.

Did that QTP electric cutout get rid of the rasp for you 01Z0H6? I have rasp at ~2k RPM to 3k RPM, looking to finally get rid of it. I'm also running no flange on my Borla exhaust, wondering if the cutout makes a difference.

If that's the dual setup that was on the car when I sold it to you then it was Lane who did the duals. The 3-bolt flanges were added later by Street Strip Performance in Prosper when the solid motor mounts went on. The original band clamps that Lane put on I had removed because the duals snagged on a high spot and pulled away from the collectors - I wanted to make sure that didn't happen again.
