Default Need Tire Help - Cypress Area (Houston)

My buddy has his truck is stuck at work with a flat. Toyota Tacoma. The one locking lug nut broke so he can't get it off. I haven't seen it so I don't know HOW broke it is or what is left to grab or anything about it.

I'm thinking of grabbing some tools and going over to where his truck is, but don't know what I might need. (He doesn't have a lot of tools - not much of a car guy)

Anyone have any ideas on getting it off?

Thanks.

If the lugnut has an exterior pattern, it may be possible to jam a 5-point socket on it and use a breaker bar to get it off. If it's internal pattern (where it's smooth on the outside), well, good luck

well what we always did at the dtc (discount tire company) was get a socket one size up, hammer it over the nut, then break it off with it being a toyota it gonna be a 21 mm
