Default New best 60ft with TH400..wheels up VIDEO!!

Since every one is putting up new pb times I figured I put up what I did in San Antonio @ the Shootout with the M6 to TH400 swap. Best run with the M6 was a 10.49 @ 132 mph with a 1.49 60ft 150 shot.
Best run with the TH400 Was 10.38 @ 129 with a 1.38 60ft with a 150 shot.
Then I listened to Robert (MRI-Tek) who said put the 200 in . So I did and this is what happened.

60ft --- 1.36 60ft (launch of TB and spray)
330 --- 4.18 ?? After coming down from wheel stand it took off to the wall!
Then the second run.

60ft --- 1.34 60ft (launch of TB and spray)
1/8 --- 6.43
mph --- 93 mph. (Blew a head gasket befor 1/8)
I don't know what kind of time it would of put down with that time in the 1/8 letting off?

Car felt good coming out the hole. I was tring to get that 9 second pass on that run but the car fell on its face before 1/8 mile and I let off. Car then shut off and coasted to the exit. Opened the hood to see what happened and there was coolant all under the hood. I just loaded it on the trailer and waited till I got back home to pull the heads off. Car went lean on the # 7 cylinder and lifted the head and blew the gasket. This was on 23 degrees of timing and running VP 104 gas.
Stock bottom-end with head and cam. 200 shot. Car wieghts 3500 lbs with me in it.

A friend has it on video and will post it as soon as I get it. Thanks Rob (MRI-Tek)

Dang, you were robbed! Hope it's just a head gasket and you're back on your way!

Everything else is fine. The pistons and the block are still good. All that went was the driver side head gasket and the #7 plug melted the tip off. I sent the heads to the machine shop to have them looked at. I could just put some arp studs and new head gaskets and back the shot down or timing back downand & be back on the road. But, I think it's time to put the 370ci or the 408ci.

You want to retard you timing around 3 degrees for every 50 shot. 12 degrees for a 200 shot is a safe place to be. If you're at 28 degrees NA, then you'll want 16 degrees with a 200 shot. 23 degrees is a little too aggressive.

I forgot to tell you thanks for the ride from the time ticket booth to the pits when my car blew the head gasket on that run. It would of been a long walk.
Your car looks badass, Good luck getting in the 10's.
