Default BFG Drag Radials ?

Anyone tried the BFG DR's ? How do they hold up on the street ? Reading on tire rack, they mention that they could blister at sustained high speeds which made me a little leary about using them on the highway. Any comments ? Suggestions ??

Thanks

They work great at the strip. Im not sure about driving them on them every day. They are a very soft compound tire. Nittos are probably more suited for daily driving. Just my .02

They do work good at the strip but not for daily driving. Lets just say I had a pair up until the point where I picked up a nail in one of them . You'll be picking up a bunch of debris that you don't want on your tires. I found that out the hard way.

Are you shure that was what caused it or if was it hard shifting. Usually they will break your rearend first unless the tranny is gonna go. broke my rear end with some drag radials. My tranny is still good.

DAMN ! I hope I don't go that route. I think I will try and get a set of Nittos, did anyone notice if tire rack had anymore 315's ? The last time I looked, they didn't show them in stock.

I run them on my car. They work great on the street IF they are heated. I have not tested them at the track yet. They definitely pick up a lot of debris and i have some blistering from doing 160+ on them.

in the Vette?

I bought some used (wouldn't pass inspection then!) BFG DRs spring of 04 then put over 10,000 miles on them on the street and my stock engine impala SS got into the 1.6s in the 60ft and 12s with them. Then I drove home on them

THE bfg's will wear out alot faster on the street, they will only last about half of what the nittos will last

I ran them on my daily driver trans am. They hook alot better than nittos on the street, but i have flown off the highway countless times when was barely wet. Nittos are better for a daily driver for that reason.

I also had BFG DR's on my daily driver and I went through a pair about every 4 months. I put about 450 miles per week on the car. But they hooked like a **** with or without a burnout. They'll hook alot better than Nitto's, but Nitto's will last alot longer though. You gotta give alittle to get alittle.

I pulled a 1.65 60ft on nittos at 18psi at the track. On the street however I usually just spin on them. I ride on nittos, dunno how "long" bfg's would last though.

my BFs lasted only 6000 miles with very conservative driving, i didnt even have time to make a pass at the dragstrip. they are very soft, we once found 14 nails on a BF in my cousins '03 cobra. they hook very well, but i wouldnt buy them again

They last for about 5k miles on the street.
They have a very soft compound.
Stick like glue but dont expect to go over 40 on the interstate when its raining.
