Default My first 1/4 times...

Well it has been spoken about for awhile, I finally made it out to the track on Friday. A few of you were interested in my times, so I am posting it. It was a lot of fun, it was me, two slightly modded z28's, and a GTO. Enough about that, here is the info about my car and the times.

1999 Ford Mustang V6

Mods:
TMA Turbo kit
Upgraded fuel system
(everything else is bone stock)

My boost is set at 7.2psi, I don't have posi, my rear end sucks, I was spinning each time at the launch. I am dissapointed with the times, I should be doing much better. And the fact that it was my frist time, I was nervous as hell, messed up a few times, crappy reaction time, crappy 60'. Anyway I beat the GTO when we raced. Here are the times, in order of my runs. I am looking forward to the next time I go out, I need to first figure out how to get the power to the ground so that I can get my high 12's that I want.

that's moving, will be a lot nicer when you get a decent 60' time also.

def. good trap speed... work on the 60ft times and you will be in the 12's EASY!

no just pull the motor, run forged internals, low comp, race gas and high boost

I've been tempted to take my SuperStocker out just to see what it would do, but I want to go like on a Tuesday morning when nobody else is around - just me, the lights, and the timer.

I'm guessing they're not open Tuesday morning, though, so I haven't gone out.

Put a better set of rear tires on it. Those trap speeds are mid 12 worthy. Not bad for a V6!

Car had MT's on it, 60 foots do need to be improved but that car looked and sounded pretty cool going down the track. It was definitly moving! Grats.

thanks guys, yeah, even with the MT's, I was having problems with traction. It is due to my crappy rear end, that needs to be changed, so that I can actually put the power to the ground. I just posted a vid about it in the video section. (https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...32#post3888032)
