Need some ideas on how to purpose
So I went and bought "The Ring" on Thursday and it's not suposed to be ready until probably Monday. But now I need some cool ideas on how to purpose. I thought about reserving a room at Del Frisco's and having our family and close friends there too and suprising her like that. Tara (sno white T/A) said that she was going to call her and tell her that they were going to redo her and Darrens (ravenous t/a) first date and they wanted Me and her to go. And then suprise her when we got there. So if yall have any ideas please let me hear em'. Thanks yall.

There is a place Garland that does Helicopter Tours. I did one at night and proposed over the lights in downtown Dallas.
Something she will never forget and didn't cost a ton of $$$.

A helicopter is a good idea but it does get a little loud up there. Do ya'll have horse carriage rides where you are (or would that be too cold)? The family is a good idea also, but do you think she would rather have you propose in a more "personal" atmosphere. Some girls want the proposal when it is just the two of you and some girls want it done in front of the whole world. You might talk to her best friend because I am sure she has said a thing or two about what she wants her proposal to be like. Is there a certain place that she really enjoys going? Better yet... where did you guys meet? Did you do anything special for your first date? Maybe you could create that all over again. If you have easy access to her house, you could always buy her a nice dress and wrap it up in a nice box. Leave it on her bed with a rose and a letter telling her to meet you somewhere (pick a nice romantic restaurant). Let the restraunt in on the plan before hand and have them go ahead and seat her when she arrives. Then you could have them bring her an envelope telling her to close her eyes. When you see that she has closed them, you could go in and kneel down by the table with the ring. You tell her to open her eyes and she gets all excited and girly and probably starts crying.... just a thought. I could probably come up with a few more

i proposed to my ex-wife in the middle of a really nice resturant in downtown Chicago. I got down on my knee in front of the whole crowd, when she said yes everybody stood up and gave us an applause.

Here's what I did, just about 2 years ago:
I had a marble stone cut into the shape of a heart. It was acid-treated so that it looks like it is 500 years old. On the rock I had "Upon this rock Jeremy and Christin were engaged to be wed".
I had my future best man/roommate go to a nerby park and take a radio, a towel (it had been raining on and off all day) and the rock. He set the rock in front of the bench, covered it in leaves. The towel went on the bench, and the radio went under the towel on the ground. I had him set up our song to repeat over and over.
When he had done that, I lead her on a "scavenger hunt" for her early b-day present. When she got to the bench, she could hear our song, but I had her close her eyes. When she opened them I was down on one knee ring in hand. Gave my little speech, she said yes.
The cool thing was, she thought it was over. Then she saw the rock. That is something that we will put in whatever gaden at whatever house we will ive in in the future. It is heavy as hell, but she is one of very few women that got two rocks for her proposal!

Obviously the same things I tell people aren't going to work for me because if he ever bought me a dress to wear, I'd kill him! I don't do well in heels.
herronz28 - That really took some thought. Your wife is a lucky woman...

Wow, that is really good! I bet all of her friends were jealous when they heard that.
