I need some clutch help/advice
I posted in the manual tranny section, but i have not gotten any worthy replies. So, i'm hoping some Texas guys will pull through for me -
My clutch will not disengage whatsoever.
Installed Textralia clutch last night. Bled for several hours with a mitivac.
When we start it up, the clutch will not disengage (goes into gear, tires spin, apply brakes with clutch in, engine bogs).
Could this be a slave cylinder problem??
Also when we bleed it, the air never seems to be pulled out all the way.The mitivac keeps pulling air out of the system, we've been coming back to it every 20 minutes and it continues to pull air.
Despite this, pedal pressure seems normal.

Have you installed an adjustyable master cylinder? I had a problem somewhat similar to this when i installed my clutch. We figured out that the clutch wasnt disengaging because the pedal wouldnt pull it back far enough, so we installed an adjustable master cylinder and it worked like a charm.

is the pedal stiff, does it feel stiff and feel like the slave is pushing normal? try to bleed it the normal way at the slave, not just mity vac. I had this problem and my problem turned out to be a bad clutch disk but I think that has been solved.
If you are still having problems call the people at textralia, they are excellent people to deal with

If you wanna know if there is any air in the system, unplug your hydrolic line and see if your pedal is stiff. it should not go down AT ALL. If it has air in it, the easiest way to get all the air out is to take the master out, bench bleed it and shake all the bubbles out of it.

/|\ there still might be a little air in the slave though,
my problem was the friction disk was machined to a wrong larger diameter and it was hitting the pressure plate so it wouldnt rotate freely. this happened with an early batch when they released them, and textralia fixed it quickly and sent everybody a new unit. this shouldnt be your problem, i was just telling you
