Default Anybody live in Longview?

Theres a couple of LS1 Camaros on my street (Annette Drive), so I was wondering if any of them were on this site. I heard one of them is putting down 700+ HP. Is it you?

Well it wasn't the owner that told me about the car. One of my neighbors drives a modded fox body Mustang with a Cobra engine. He was the one that told me about the Camaro.

I'm about an hour north in DeKalb. I heard a cammed black Camaro, maybe an SS, that sounded pretty good a month or so ago when I was down there.

Well, it's red and the owner's name is Mark. I think it's a Z28. I know it's an LS1, just not sure which.

Oh, Marc(short for Marcus). Unless he got some major mods, hes full of it. The car used to be bone *** stock. I think he put a kit on it. Aint no way its making 700hp.

That guy is such a dolt-I used to watch him tell people that his car came with the LS6 motor making 400hp-stock.

I'll do some checking to see if anything has changed, but I guaran-damn-tee you it's not "putting down" 700hp.

The guy is such a dumbass, he tried racing a buddy's car(mid 9 sec car) when the LS1 was stock.

He has a 01 stripper z28, stock, that he thinks is about the fastest car in town. Dont worry about him-he's a local moron. Everyone with a fast car thinks the same thing.

This would be his profile on the local Longview/Tyler forum: http://www.oldwestracing.com/yabbse2...=profile;u=641

On Edit: He's on here to, but hasnt logged in, in over a year: https://ls1tech.com/forums/member.php?u=30057

It's definitely him. I just drove down the street and the license plate on the car matches the one in his sig. I haven't spoken to him personally, but his buddy told me the car was sprayed and was "putting down like 6 or 700 horsepower. He's gone through 3 transmissions this year. He'll take on anybody." So it sounds like he's as much a tool as you make him out to be.

I ran the guy with the Mustang on my way home from work recently before finding out he was my neighbor. His car was loud as hell and vibrated my car while we were stopped at the light. When the light turned green, he took off and looked really fast. So at the next light, I took off and left him trailing behind all the way up to 100. When I talked to him the other day, he said he was glad I came by because he was wondering what all I had done to mine. I don't think he was happy when I told him the motor was stock.

Good going on the kill.

Marcus has gone through so many trannys because he beats on his car so damn hard, and misses the **** out of shifts. Ive been in the car with him, and Ive raced him (back when my car was bone stock).

Dont worry, theres plenty of F'n morons there in town. A simple cam car like mine intimidated the **** out of most of them. They wouldnt know what to do if they saw some of the LS1's that roll around down here.

Was the Mustang a red fox body?

yeah, deffinitely not like DFW where you see a dozen or more 4th gens, which are usually modded, every day...but thats not such a bad thing either

The sad thing is, most of the time you would be the fastest car on the loop etc.
