it might be owned by jack, but i know that its run by different people. higher membership fees, and bigger buy in. the new long course at cresson looks really cool, too. it actually has some elevation change.

because they only allow those cars. fords are cut off @ 2004. CMC has a HP/TQ limit. my LT1 has to run a restrictor plate to pull power @ or below 230hp/300tq @ the rear wheels. an LS1 car just has too much power for this to work well. plus it would have an advantage w/ the aluminum block w/ less nose weight. the only place for 98-02 F-bodies is AI (American Iron). they have a 9.5lbs per HP/TQ rule. run what you want for power, just match it w/ the lbs!
older cars have AIV (American Iron Vintage).

when you guys get tired of the drag race thing where those w/ the biggest wallets will always win, your understand why its nice to have HP/TQ limits. w/ us, its about who's the better driver, not the one who's deepest in debt.

i think you're right about jack owning the name, not the track itself. i'm no expert either, i just know that our 1st race out there got canned and there was a different set of people dealing with things (moneywise at least). i'm really hoping that next year we can put msrh on the schedule and drop tws. 8a is just spooky on a bike, airfence or not.

its nice to know that they are making an effort to make it a top notch track and i'm anxious to see what kind of events they can get out there.

It's a shame that CMRA won't race there. I am planning on doing some track days there this year. This is the closest track to me and it seems that they are comitted to having bikes there too from the changes that they have been implementing after original concerns came up.
