A word of warning (Centerpoint gas customers)
I knew natural gas prices were going up but when I received my bill I freaked. $279.00 for one month service!! I immediately called to find out if the bill was accurate. IT WASN'T!!! They overcharged me by $154.00!!! Needless to say I was pissed. She proceeded to tell me blah..blah..blah these guys are busy and misread your meter. I said "I have a wife and kids and that's a chunk of change out of my little budget. "
I asked her if this was going to be addressed with the meter reader. Her response..."Oh it will catch up with him eventually." So don't assume that it's just the price increase. I'll be checking my own meter from now on.

I've heard it had gotten rediculous. I'm still waiting on my new gas bill to come in. I bought a couple of those electric oil-filled furnace thingys to help cutdown on the friggin gas bill. They work pretty good.

They charged me 2 deposits last month for no good reason... I called and was told "uh sorry sir, that was a mistake... we will credit the $140 back to your account". It took me 3 days of trying to get through to a customer service rep.
