Default Some know how to paint CETA style

I am wiling to pay 50 bucks and some beer for someone to come over and paint my rear bumper CETA style(blackbird) i will pay for materials. Please help..ha..PM me

i was going to post something similar, basically asking who's done it themselves, and what kind of prep & paint was used.

I too would like to know this... Do most people do it themselves or take it to a shop?
If you guys do it by yourselves what do you use and does it stay?

well i will tell you guys what i would do. prep the surface with fine sandpaper and make sure it is free of any contaminents. then mask of everything that you dont want painted and pull her my booth and start spraying. 2 coats of paint and a couple coats of clear. it would be better if the bumber was off and could just let it dry over night.

my car is white, so i probably need more coats?

also, what kind of paint are you using? spray paint, or a paint gun?

when you are painting its all about being clean as possible. a spec of dust looks huge in paint and ruins things. the more prep work you do the better it will turn out. just lightly sand the area that you want painted clean it well and then mask off and go town. its really not that hard.

what black should I use im gonna do it myself i guess, what spray paint? regular or textured? etc. Let me know what i need to know...?...
