I just moved to Houston two days ago and I need some transmission work. Slipping pretty bad (auto). does anybody know of a good shop. I am living downtown but will drive anywhere to a good shop. i have a '96 Imp SS
Any help would be great.

There is Century Transmission I think it is Richmond I believe, there is Lovelady that also does the work. If you contact some of the shops like HPE (gratuitous plug) or maybe some guys on here may have there numbers they can help you. I know that Century does awesome work from all that I have heard.

I have a Century Stg 1 built trans. I have like 53k on it. I think the best thing about it was the Royal Purple fluid. I have had some problems with tranny cooler line coming off. Its seems to be doing ok!
