tax question..

Default tax question..

hey guys

me and a buddy of mine are trading cars. both paid off, titles in hand. now my mom says that we're going to have to pay taxes on the values of the vehicles, is this true, or do we just pay the normal $35 fee at the dmv when we switch the names over on the titles..


any help would be GREATLY appreciated

Hey bro there is a place that ask "amount paid" or sumthing like that or maybe they will ask you just said u paid 500 or a grand and if they ask tell em its stripped and u just bought the body i my personel fav " my neighbor sold it to me CHEAP so his wife doesnt get it in the devorce" that **** happens all the time its not like they are going to go check

There is a place on the application that deals with even trades. You just have to pay the small fee and not any taxes.

also does anyone know how long it usually takes to get the title from the bank? ive been told 30-45 days
