Chevrolet Buy-back Event?
This may be a gimmick but I've never seen it before. I got a letter in the mail today that read:
Don Ringler Chevrolet has been designated as a site to conduct a special market test pricing and financing event. Your status as a Don Ringler Chevrolet customer qualifies you for this private sale.
We are in desperate need to acquire several pre-owned 1999 Pontiac Firebirds (i bought a t/a from them about 3 years ago) in order to fulfill special vehicle requests. You have been identified as an owner of one of these vehicles and our managers have been authorized to buy back your current vehicle at or above market prices.
We would like to exchanve your car for nay new chevrolet. With high trade-in values we fell confident that you can make the exchange with little or no money down and a monthly payment htat fits your budget.
You must bring this letter for admittance to this event and present it to the Sales Manager.
Due to the high demand for these vehicles, this event will not be advertised to the public. This will be your only notification.
It sounds ehh..but then I started thinking...what if this has something to do with the new camaros coming out..and they just want to test and see if there's still a market for them or not? I'm not interested #1 because I have the SS now and not the T/A #2 there's not really a new chevy that I like other than the C6 and I can't afford one. Just wondering if anyone else got one of these and what you think of it.
Thanks.

I got one on my Liberty last year from a Kia dealer. On this one though it said they were offering up to $5,000 over trade value for my specific model, too bad their trade value is about $10,000 under what I'd expect out of it. Used car salesmen

I've gotten probably 10 of those in the last two years. They started out saying that my vehicle was considered a "hot item" and that they would give me 1000 over trade in value and now they just say that it is high demand and they will cut me a good deal on a new chevrolet. It's all a scam. Just another B.S. dealership ploy.
