Default Need advice on ticket...

Alright i got a ticket for my exhaust being too loud, which is understandable. No traffic around, about 12:30 am just some cop with nothing to do i was in 6th at 45mph on the feeder road so its not like i was revving the **** out of it. The charge is "Muffler Violation - Loud" is what it reads on the ticket. Is there any way of getting this dismissed? Do i have to prove my exhaust isnt that loud? If so is there a temporary silencer i can use?

Appreciate any help

thanks

Yeah do that and it will get dismissed.. If it passes legal emmissions and it is a legal exhaust system they can't make you pay a fine.. If the cop didn't have a dB meter then how can he legally say it was to loud. It being too loud would just be the cops opinion and that doesn't stand up in court..

I have been told by cop that they can't do anything about the exhaust unless someone complains. He told me that only DPS(state troopers) are the only ones that check for cats.
