I'm looking for a 5.7L LS1 forged shortblock (stock crank is ok). I'm looking to buy used and save alittle money. I have a friend that want to sell his for $3000. It's been freshened up, ie, new bearings, new oil pump, new rings, bores have been honed. Basically, it seems like a solid motor.

To me, 3K sounds like too much.

What should I expect to pay for this motor?

2k max it's used just freshened up. i believe you can buy one new for like 2500 from the sponsors
