New Best Times at the Texas Motorplex, N/A & N20
I got a new best today at the Motorplex both N/A and N20.. My best N/A run was a 12.132@111.38mph 1.60 60ft 1/4 mile, and 7.702@89.22mph 1/8 mile... My best Nitrous pass was 11.221@121.23mph 1.51 60ft 1/4 mile, and 7.158@95.80mph 1/8 mile.. The car was running great all day long and very consistant.. I only made 2 N20 runs because they kicked me off the last one. The first pass on the N20 was a 11.301@120.94 1.55 60ft but they didn't say anything to me on that run about not having a cage, fire suit, etc, but on the 2nd run which was late at night he gave me hell about it. Like I said the car was running great but all good things have to come to an end.. The throw out bearing was making a little noise, but I didn't pay too much attention to it.. On the way home though it started to screem at me bad, so I new something was wrong, well I took the tranny out tonight to see what it was and that part that the throw out bearing slides on that holds the input shaft inplace, well it broke clean off.. I don't know if there is a transmission shop that is open on sunday where I can find one of those parts at for a TKO, But I need one bad if I am going to race at the cruise on Sunday.. If anyone has one or knows where I can get one ASAP let me know quickly..

Damn you tore up the bearing retainer? Was it a cast aluminum one or steel?
When I had my tranny out last week the stock cast aluminum one had a groove on it from being so old, the new steel bearing retainer was like $45 from Tommie Vaughn, but they're in Houston. How much does one of those run for the TKO?
Arron
PS- Stout times, sounds like you have all your ducks in a row!

BTW those times were made with a bone stock motor with bolt ons, rear suspension, drivetrain work, drag tires & rims, and a little weight reduction..

Its a good combination. Mustangs always hit hard out of the hole, even stock. Add some suspension and you'll get some stellar 60's like yours. Add in the fact you've got a screaming 4v motor and it adds some top end to a hard launching car, and voila!
I saw your car run at the Beltline meet a few weeks ago and it definately moves from a roll, too!

Congrats man, I didn't know you were there or I'd of come by, I was in the Huge TSP rig most of the time. I had my Silver Fox there, made 2 good passes before being told not to run again. Something about not having a cage...
I set a new best on 10psi, a 10.65 @ 130mph, compared to my previous best in Lubbock on the same setup (11.2 @ 125mph). I also got a chance to weight the car and it was at 3165lbs, which is kinda porky for a fox body car IMO.
