Default NEW PB at Ennis...8th and 1/4 mile....still slower than Dan!! lol

I had alot of fun at Ennis... thanks to Dan and Adam for loaning a helmet between runs! Should have known they would be picky!

I took both cars but only made 1 pass in the GTP. I made more than 8 passes in the TA.... I think my driving skills from a dig are improving....

Best Runs in Order:

1.858 60 FT
7.829 8th mile
91.15 mph
12.049 1/4 mile
117.61 mph

1.908 60 FT
7.841 8th mile
92.52 mph
12.010 1/4 mile
119.58 mph

Personal Best:
1.928 60 FT
7.770 8th mile
94.20 mph
11.894 1/4 mile
121.01 mph

11.50 Index class Losing run:
1.837 60 FT
7.913 8th mile
89.89 mph
12.197 1/4 mile
116.65 mph

Ennis is a nice track.... Kennedale hooks much harder..... I was launching less than 4k rpms most of the time... only bad experience was the rear end going nuts on a burnout and I didnt let out of it! bouncin all over the place!

next step is to work on the suspension and rear end.... hopefully with 4800 rpm dumps and Torque arms/Subframe connectors etc.... i can do a 1.6 or better 60 ft and run a 11.22 like Dan! His stang is

i have come to realize that my car is best suited for "frum roll racing".... 1.9 60fts are the best i could manage by launching under 4k rpm..... I also can see the ordifference in a good suspension setup vs a stock setup... also I now know that A4's are better than M6's on the drag strip... guys with 100 horses less than me that post under the 11 second club are pulling 1.6 60fts and running 119mph and high 11's..... I do think my 121 trap speed shows that the car has some power.......... what do you guys trap....??

also I think Ennis has lower 8th mile results than Kennedale? Wonder what causes this?

my father in law drove it first...... basically ran a 14.1 with the traction control on and let out 3/5ths thru the track cuz he didnt want to get in trouble for no helmet.... the 8th was 9.0 and the 1/4 mph was 100

I ran it 1 time.... basically took Traction control off... ran a 2.5 60ft 14.7@ 94mph spinning thru 1st and most of 2nd...... 340+ wheel ft lbs of torque at 2200 rpm is too much for the drag strip without slicks and a race tranny!

Don't spend the $$ on a torque arm just yet. Just set up your suspension and use the stock torque arm. V6 bird used the stock torque arm and never had a problem with it

after looking at Jaypee's pics and time.......

4:10's + 12bolt/9 inch + 11 inch/28 inch slicks + 5k rpm launches + subframe connectors + LCA's + skinnies in front = 10's! assuming I run a 124ish mph and 1.5 60ft.... my car ran 121 mph with a horrible 1.9 60ft!

this sound about right...... anyone know someone who can build a light light roll cage??
