Yep HPP won with a 8.7 at 137...the big end couldn't take the power. It was walking pretty bad on both runs. You should have came....you would have been competitive.

An 8.74 won it and the runner up was in the 8.9 range. Suprisingly enough they were both turbocharged Mustangs. One was a mod motor and the other had a blow thru carb setup.

A couple of old school cars showed up like OJ's 67 Camaro and a supercharged 66-67 Chevelle but neither one got a clean pass. Kenny Tran was there but never got a clean pass either, he's gone 8.5s before in a FWD Honda.

The track couldn't hold the power of what those cars where putting down on the big end at all.. HPP's 99 Cobra that won the class with the 8.7@134 has been 8.1's@174 at FFW.. It could possible run in the 7.9's if they can get the car to stick to the track..

It's an NHRA sanctioned track so the NHRA rules apply, meaning cars running 11.99 and quicker need an SFI approved scattershield. If you've ever seen a flywheel or a clutch come apart it can be pretty nasty. Think about where your flywheel is and where your feet are, if that thing comes apart there is a small piece of cast aluminum and a thin wall of stamped steel between it and you.

You get that when the hot rod Hondas show up. Brooks kept taking power out of the other car and it kept going faster

They are picky bastards out there sometimes. Ennis is the only place I've ever had check the date on my harness. I've seen them get an inspection mirror out before to check the top of the main hoop welds. That and I've seen them bitch about driveshaft loops.

As far as i know the TSP C6 was having fuel pump problems, i never saw it run but i did see they're mustang run it was pretty fast, there was a brand new C6 Z06 there and on his second or third run he dropped the ****** tranny!!! That was ****** nuts! It was brand new. I ran my car the best i could pull off was a 13.22, not bad i guess.

The methanol pump went out on the TSP TTC6 and Joseph eventually swapped in his as a spare, it made the second to last pass of the night and trapped 148mph on drag radials. That was the second pass Jason ever made in the car
