it is a nation wide thing cause the government is trying to pass a law. the law states that all children born to illegal imigrants in the u.s. will not automatically be a u.s. citizen. Like myself i was born in dallas but my parents at the time were illegal, but this would not apply to just all the newborns if the law is passed. So all these kids are protesting cause well most of them are from illegal parents. i think that is what it is anyway

i think its a smart move by alot of the students.
