Default Good Dallas Shop for C5 work?

I have a 1999 Corvette that is doing all kinds of crazy stuff and I want to take it to someone who knows this car. I live real close to the Chuck Fairbanks chevy dealership (which happens to have a pretty lousy set of vette mechanics from my experience) but the car does still run so I can travel a little ways if I know it's worth it. Any recomendations??

LG Motorsports is by far the most reputable shop in the DFW metroplex. RPM wanted to charge me $75 to lower my vette on stock bolts (put it on a lift, turn a few bolts, less than 10 minutes worth of work). I took it to another shop and they did it for free (wouldn't even accept the money that I offered them). If RPM is that overpriced on such a minor job, I'd hate to take my car there for something major.

Did you tell them how much you wanted to lower it? You have to replace or cut the bushings if you want it slammed.

21st Century Muscle Cars isn't in McKinney. They are on the edge of Carrollton/Dallas.

You would think you'd know their location if you say they are a great bunch of guys.

I told them lowered on stock bolts, but maybe they assumed that I wanted the bushings cut.

From the looks of it online the street racing scene out here in dfw is crazy tight... not a lot of talk about it..

Would be fun to see what real cars run instead of the 9.4 1/8th c5's and 8.4 1/8th 03 cobras i saw at k-dale.

we got some pretty quick 4th gen cars around here. my experience is both 21 & RPM are good shops. i think it depends on what you want done. we have had plenty of shops here that everyone braged about their great prices & they are now GONE! it's worth the money to get it done right. i think all would agree with that

21st Century Musclecars is the place to go if you drive a C5 and want it done right the first time. I'd also feel comfortable with LG or SQR.
