Default head light trouble

i posted this over in the maintenace section..
2000 firebird
heres the problem: the passenger headlight wont go up or down when the lights are on but it doesnt make a crazy noise like it usually does when the motor goes out.could it be anything else??

also on the driverside the turn signal wont go on in the fron or blink..but in the rear the tail light gets brighter but also doesnt blink..the front light blinks when you lock the car..all the fuses are fine any ideas??

thanks

Thats a common problem on Pontiac F bodies. I had the same prob with mine. It could be a number of things. Your headlight module could be out, or it may be the motor, or the gears inside the motor of the headlight. It can be repaired but your going to either take it somewhere and get it checked out and pay and arm and a leg. or you can take apart the headlight yourself troubleshoot it, buy the part and repair it yourself. The module on mine went out so i bought a new one and replaced it myself.

If your blinker light isnt working try checking the daytime running light which serves as your front turn signal. If the daytime light is out then the inside blinker indicator will not blink. Once you replace the bulb then it will work

Does the headlight motor make any sound when the headlights are turned on?

I have a 98 firebird both headlights go up and down, but passenger motor runs about 5 seconds longer going up and coming down, would it be that I have a bad headlight motor relay or does someone know the problem to fix.

This happened to me sometime back. I changed out the relay and all was well afterwards. But I haven't come across the blinker issue yet. If I find anything I'll post it up.

I just had to fix the same blinker issue myself. Turns out the socket itself was completely corroded and had to be replaced.
