Default 2000 honda accord ex question

Friend just got one but the stock cd player wont play regular burned cd-r's. I have never had a cd player not play them. Could it just not play them or what? Could it be a messed up cd player? Let me know guys

Why don't you put in a non-burned CD? If it plays them then I hope you can figure it out.

I think he did, just like everybody else. I think he was wondering if the CD player was messed up or not, like he said he had not come across one that didnt play the CD-R's.

A buddy of mine 98 Dakota will only play burned CD's if they are burned at 2x or slower. Try burning on at a really slow rate and see if it works. Otherwise it is just a gay CD player.

If the CD player was messed up, it wouldn't be playing CDs. Period.

Quite a few older CD players, be them automotive, home stereo, or portable, have issues playing CD-R's. Some have issues with the speed that they were burned at (like Boobka said), some have issues with the brand of CD-R (I had one that simply would not play Sony discs, but had no problem with Memorex and Verbatim), while some simply won't play CD-R's regardless .

I'd say rip out the gay CD player and slap in one with MP3 playback capabilities .
