Give the guy a break. Hopefully he can get by this slump. He was instrumental in the 2nd half of last season and the post-season.

Players who are only good for half a season have a name: Minor Leaguers

Last year was his first full major league season and he batted .267 with 26HRs and 78 RBIs. Hardly a "minor leaguer's" numbers. He's in a severe slump and he is paying the price by riding the pine right now. Hopefully, he can get the kinks worked out and get that batting average up. Hell, even with a crappy average he was on pace to hit over 30HRs and 70 RBIs this year. Let's just hope he can pull it together. He's an asset in the field (even though that one picture says different). Most guys that take a shot like that in the outfield are only in that kind of damaging position because they are giving it 110% to make the play.

I'm just giving him a hard time because he rarely seems to hit with RISP. When the game is out of reach, he hits great. When it matters, he seems to falter.

Under that definition, Pettitte should have been in the minors last season and hopefully this season.

Yeah. I have given him a hard time too. I just hope he can get his problem fixed because he does hit for good power.

BTW, I think that picture is pretty funny.
