Default cam Swap in Austin,TX

Is anyone around or near Austin Texas willing to help me with my tr220 cam swap. It is for my 5.3L silverado. I've read the ls1howto on it at least 10 times and read up as much as possible but in reality it will be my first cam swap and I don't want to mess my truck up, and I can't afford a $500 shop fee install

I will be doing the tr220,918's and 7.4" pushrods.

If anyone would be willing to help around the next 1-2 months. I would obviously compensate for your time. just name your price. I will drive to San Antonio too if need be

That install is not that hard, just sounds like it. I did my TR 230/224 in my garage with a friend.

If you were in Houston, I would lend you hand.

I know it's not terribly hard, but I don't want to forget something and have it set me back $2 grand with a broken engine. I'm definantly afraid of the lifters falling to.

I just want the piece of mind that someone who is helping me knows what they're doing

i hope so, unfortunately I haven't heard from any of them. I'm a college student so i can't exactly afford an expensive install but at the same time im willing to spend a little money to ensure it is done correctly

Just set a date that a few guys (who have done a swap before) can agree on. Pay for the beer and pizza. TADA! New CAM installed!
