Default Thinking of moving to TX

Where would be a good town to move to ? Must have a good hospital near by for the wife to get a job and a good local golf course for me to work at.

We are looking to spend 200,000 - 250,000 on a house .

I also have a 6 year old son so a good school is a must ...

200k? You can find lots of nice houses here for that.

There are a few good golf courses in and around Dallas, Irving, etc. TONS of hospitals.

I used to live between Ft Worth and Dallas, in the Grapevine/Colleyville area, not but 2 miles from the DFW Airport. Now I live in Garland, right across Ray Hubbard Lake from Rockwall.

Both are nice areas, but different. You'll really need to come down and tour all the areas you might be interested in to get a good idea of what you want/like.

Hit me up if you need any more info!

Eh, I live south of 30.

There is a reason I am steadily increasing my collection of firearms.

DFW... i moved here 7 months ago, and there are like 15 golf courses within 10 miles of my house. hospital right down the street from me, and 200k will get you a 3500sq ft house... for real. $250k will get you into a 'gated community'

Katy area is great in the falcon point area....falcon point is a good size golf course with houses starting at around 160k i believe and cinco ranch is right next door but they are around 250k plus and pin oak is around 200k plus. Down grand parkway @ I-10 is a brand new memorial hermann branch hospital for your wife. and KISD has 6 high schools working on a 7th and they have some of the best teachers around...if you need info PM me

Houston has one of the best Medical districts in the countries, there are multiple hospitals in the area and there are also nice subdivisions popping up all over the place.

And there are plenty of golf courses down here, we can play year around.

I live just north of the DFW metroplex and I like it but if I were moving here I'd probably go to San Antonio. Smaller city, good property values, less traffic, plenty of things to do there and I think the scenery is better there.

Gotta agree. Houston is known for some of the best hospitals in the world. We have golf courses every few miles it seems, several of those. Plus, two local drag strips and several performance shops.
