Carlos Lee to the Rangers Just thought I'd give you Rangers fans something to cheer about. Looks like you guys landed one of the biggest trades of the season so far.
Carlos Lee to the Rangers, for Kevin Mench and Laynce Nix. A couple other players involved.

Finally got rid of Cordero's sorry *** the only down part is losing Mench he was a good palyer and clubhouse guy. But hey we seem to have picked up a good player and a prospect.

I think its a good move. We get better numbers at the plate (Lee vs. Mench) and a good minor league prospect (from what I hear). Sure wish we would go after Zito.

They picked up a Soriano caliber player with a platoon outfielder, an unreliable former closer and a very fragile mediocre outfielder.
An immediate 20 more RBIs at the very least is bound to help them for the rest of the year. Not to mention they can pressure pitchers to throw to Tex and Blalock now with Lee batting behind them.
Now pick up Miguel Batista and/or Dontrelle Willis and win the pennant! Zito ain't happening, Oakland wouldn't trade him to another AL West team as long as they have a shot at the playoffs. Especially with Harden out.
