Houston area shops for cam install...HPE?
Now that I've finished college and started my "real" job, I'm considering having someone install a cam and longtubes in my car. I haven't been on the boards much lately, but I remember hearing good things about HPE. Any other Houston area shops worth looking at? Not that interested in MTI as a friend had a bad experience several months after his car left their shop (can't say one way or another if it was anything they did, but now I'd be a little hesitant to have them work on my car).
I have a company car to drive, so I'm tempted to go big. Maybe S-cam?
I've also thought about doing the install myself and having someone else tune it. Any suggestions on tuners?
Thanks

HPE for the install and the tune, you will not be disatistisfied with there A+ service. The techsare two awesome guys and do some of the best work in the nation, as well as Chuck can tune the car like Beethoven composed music. I would definatly have them as my first choice. G-Force also does some eally good work and from the guys there I have met are also a real great bunch of guys, as for MTI well they are MTI and are damn good at what they do there reputation speaks volumes for them and the years of work they have done and standards they have set for every other Vette and F-Body shop in the nation. So keep doing your research and go with who makes you feel more at ease with your car and either way you cannot go wrong.
