Default Electric company....which one do you use??

I just wanted to see who everyone uses here....

I am with TXU and my last bill was like $390!!! OUCH! But the wife and kid were at home a lot! Thank god school is starting back up!

I am thinking about switching to Dynowatt or Stream....any good/bad issues with any other company??

I also got something in the mail from Reliant saying they no longer required to charge the "Price to Beat" rate....and they say their rate is now cheaper than TXU...(14.6cents versus 15.5cents)

What do you guys think??

I use Reliant.....TXU is the most expensive due to they are the price everyone has to try to beat.....TXU is the one who sets the highest price....

I had Entergy 13.5 cents/kWH plus a small customer charge.....Entergy sold their Texas market back in March to Direct. Direct kept me at Entergy's rate until this month....went up to 15.5 cents/kWH. with no customer charge. So I switched to Spark, back down to 13.5 cents with no customer charge.

Customer service with every company has been great and I have not had a single issue. www.powertochoose.com Find the lowest cost provider and go.

I am using Reliant currently by default, but I have heard a lot of talk about Gexa...but I have not looked into it, though people have encouraged me to do so.

Go here:

I use TXU. It is not the most expensive. Most expensive is Green Mountain using 100% wind.

And price to beat is still Reliant. TXU is cheaper. You can get lower rates with Reliant only by signing a 12 month contract.

TXU is the price to beat in Dallas/Ft. Worth, but Reliant is the price to beat for Houston and the surrounding areas.

Thanks,

Chris

Yep, that's true. Forgot about that. It's all relative. That web site is the best option when trying to determine rates for a given area.
