I noticed at lunch today the Kroger in Los Colinas has e85 @ the pumps already! i thought it would be a while before they got it to market.
how do i figure out if it will run in the saturn or jeep? i guess i might experiment with the jeep since its on its last breathe anyways.

Don't do it!!
You have to have a "Flex fuel" vehicle to run that stuff.

ahhhh he posts!
and you have to have a flex fuel capable vehicle to run the stuff.
I need to do some reading on it, but last I heard, fuel milage suffered near 25%. Though I think the ethanol in the fuel now is hurting milage too, just not as bad.
once again, i need to do some research, so correct me if im wrong.

$2.45/gallon
http://e85vehicles.com/e85-texas.htm
guess thats one of the 3 places kroger is testing it out in tx. I read something about it being higher performance.. equivilant of 105 octane.
lower gas mileage by 20% or so.

It's closer to 120 octane and fuel economy is more like 60% of the 10% crap we have to run now. If your car isn't FFV it probably won't even start with E85 in it and if it does you won't make it but a couple of blocks before you burn holes in the pistons.

I have witnessed a legitimate 10% decrease in fuel economy when I run the 10% ethanol ****. 18mpg down from 20 mpg.
I like stopping in the small towns for gas, some of them still don't run the ethanol gas!
