Default New wheels/Tires C6 Pics

I had no traction, so I had to buy some wider rubber out back (and front by default). Got a great deal on some take off wheels from a friend of mine, but I'm undecided on whether I like them or not. Got them cheap enough to powdercoat back to my comp grey though, so no biggie.

19X11 with 305/30 and 18X9.5 with 275/35 (Bridgestone R050s).

Backround sucks, just wanted to snap a few before work (just put them on last night).

Any DFW guys see me rollin' around, give me a wave and we can shoot the breeze.

I hated it for a few seconds... then it grew on me... quickly. It looks evil and you got the Lingenfelter badge to back it up. I really like it!

Yep. That's my Lingenfelter badge of courage! 465rwhp n/a on stock cubes with only a 224/228 cam. The dry shot goes on this weekend!

That's hilarious. When we put them on at the shop, my tech and I said the exact same thing. I've seen them on the Orange and the Yellow C6, and both looked like ***, so I was skeptical, but got them on a great deal.

We both backed off and said...not working...5 minutes later they looked better...5 miutes later...wicked. But because of that first impression...still not sure. Oh well, I needed some stickier tires anyway, and I still have my comp grey stocks (which is actually still my favorite look) if I pull them off and have them coated another color.

hmmmm.... not love at first sight. I'll bet they would look better all-black though.

background doesn't suck, I see a C6 and a Harley Night Train back there!

Surely. I still vote the comp grey as my favorite. I'm really considering just widening the stock wheels to take the tires I need to run.

After (roughly same angle):

I personally always prefer a polished lip, I don't like how it just runs into the tire.

I thought about that too, and maybe that's what turns me off the most, it's hard to put my finger on exactly what bugs me about them. But, I don't want that much polish either, so probably end up coating them grey!

Thanks Tony. I guess the bad background is the fence and garbage cans...I suppose the garage packed with a Night Train and second C6 isn't the worst background to have!

I've got to start building the new house and the garage I want...3 car just don't cut it. We should meet up for a Harley run one of these days. I keep threatening to do a Galveston run in the fall (when it's below 100 degrees and 1000% humidity!).

That seems to be everybody's initial reaction...even mine! I'm definitely going to run them for a few weeks as is and see if it gets better or worse!!

They just jump out hard when you look at the car...but it's not as bad in person as it is in those pics. Everything on the car is black except for those wheel spokes and the Lingenfelter badges on the fenders (which have the same finish), and that's kinda cool.

I understand the growing on you thing. If it were me, I think a polished lip with the rest of the wheel black would be cool.

I like the new rim setup. Personally, I think it looks better than the old setup, a little contrast is a good thing. That's one sweet ride.
