I have a question about bumpstops and tire shops.
i have 11" ZR1's and they sometimes hit the bumpstops when i go over a bump too fast and the rear end comes down.
I want to get some drag radials mounted, and just curious if a tire shop like NTB or Discount Tire will be able to do the swap since you have to lift the car up from the differential to get the wheels on and off.
Also, would they be able to remove the bumpstops entirely?

did you have any problems with your wheels hitting them?
yea, i can do it myself, i just wanted to know if they'd be able to so i could just drive the car there and have them do it all at once.
instead of removing, what do you suggest? grinding? then i'd need more tools

I used to work at the discout on Bay Area Blvd, and we worked on cars like yours all day. I few of the guys that still work there drive camaro's and would have no problem doing the swap for ya.

If you jack it up from the bottom of the differential, the suspension will not move at all, so the wheels will not hit the bumpstops. Its when you lift the body up from the frame that you will have an issue with the wheel hitting the bumpstop.

When I had my TT2s installed a few years ago the guy at Discount was willing to cut my bumpstops off. I told him just to unbolt the bumpstop. Once I got home I put them back in and pulled out the grinder and took care of the area that was hitting the wheel
