Default PEPE HRP Track Times/Vids Sep 8th '06

Well PEPE's getting closer to 10's, made 5 passes, dropped the air to 12 lbs on the 28x13.5 ET Streets and no pansy bogging 4500rpm launches like last month. My digcam is not the best quality & doesn't vid/zoom so couldn't get the board times on vid.

2nd pass (launched @5200rpm...screwed up a little staging):
R/T: .272
60': 1.781
1/4: 11.678 @119.67
video - http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e5...t=MOV01813.flv

4th pass (launched @5600rpm):
R/T: .518
60': 1.689
1/4: 11.397 @120.56
video - http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e5...t=MOV01812.flv

LAST & BEST PASS my buddy didn't record, but (launched @6300rpm):
R/T: .367
60': 1.605
1/4: 11.349 @121.33

Thanks Mess & Chad...and yes definitely want to make this cruise. Still need to paint the hood but been getting her 100% running the way I want first. Lane's Hi-Tech will be doing the work.

Brett,

Sorry I missed you last week but I was working on the ride for most of the day. We'll have to hook up when I get my ride back on the road; congrats on the time I'm sure a few more tweaks and you'll be in the tens easy !!!!

From what I'm hearing everyone was struggling a little with the DA last night, wish I could have stayed a little longer watch your run man, but my Jeep was being held hostage by my buddy and his girl

Appreciate everyones comments!

On a funny note my track GOOF of the day was my 4th run I think, I pull up heat the tires and a Chrysler 300 is beside me, I courtesy stage and am waiting...and waiting.......so I look back and he's still back there, thinking what the hell come on already! Well guess I slipped the clutch a tad and full staged unknown to me, turned back to the tree and the lights were dropping ...sheesh all I had time to do was street-light punch it @2000 rpm... blah...that was a 32.2 run

damnit..was hoping you overlooked it , I used to speed/power shift without side-stepping really well, guy who taught me was one of the best I've seen and was not a fan of side-stepping because of the breakage risk if you screw up, his racecar put down way more power than mine does. I've tried it though on mine and I struggle with it, just need more practice.

Maybe next go around, did you run yours? I wanted to see Keith run but had to jet because we were sitting so long in the lanes, partly due to the girl in the red 6cyl Mustang convertible ....honestly I felt sorry for her, 1st time to the track I understand everyone has to learn but she was freaking dangerous! She almost backed into the car behind her while staged at the tree, the light man was ready to Matt Hughes her.

appreciate the comments from all of you
