Default How long do you plan on keeping your F-body?

As each day passes, I wonder how long i will keep mine, and if its worth it?

It's my weekend car, so I'd like that car to be quick.

I could keep it, and turn it into a nice 1,000 hp street car ($$$), or sell it and get something in the future- C6 Z06, Nissan GT-R. But they are expensive and wouldn't be able to mod them much.

Also the new Camaro is coming out, and who knows, maybe a new Firebird in 2011-2012.

I voted 3-5 years , that is how long I kept my 98 white SS. I had done a bunch of work to it then decided I wanted a c5 Z06. So I sold the SS and got a MY Z06, then after a couple of years I decided that it was not big enough and didn't have a back seat, and wanted something that was more luxury. So I opted for a CTS-V, which rarely gets driven, but when I do it makes me know the reason why I have it. This car I will probably pay off and then get the new camaro in 09.. I really like the new z06, but I can wait and get the camaro and have both the V and camaro in a couple years.

Forever
I've got tons of Fbody parts and enough Camaros to have fun with the rest of my life.
I've had 8 Fbodys and I've only sold 2.

The jury is still out on this one.

I'm paying my car off next week and I'm really not anxious to go back into debt and start payments over again.

I'll keep mine forever. Why sell it? It is paid off, fast, etc. No reason to get rid of it. None.

I voted forever, i'll soon have the cam i want in it and once i get it tuned right, i'm gonna do true duals and then quit modding it for a while. It's already paid off so i dont think i'll sell it anytime soon. I'll prolly keep it unless it gets totaled. Then i'd try to get a C6

Well I voted forever. That will be for my next 4th Gen F-body though. I had to sell my 01 Z28 because my wife is going to school 2 hours away. Needed a 4 banger that was good on gas.

Bought my car new in 01-WS6. Has 26000 miles on her and she stays in the garage. Will NEVER get rid of her. I`m planning to buy a new Camaro or the Firebird when they come out. I will have both!! You can see in my sig what I have done. She flys!!

Unfortunately, I just got rid of mine..... I was planning on keeping it, but could no longer afford two car payments. I did a 2 for 1 swap and picked up the truck in my sig. I'm going to miss my Z though.

I would have changed the gears to something higher/numerically lower (2.73). Afterwards I would have switched back to something better.
