Default would it be worth swapping an LS2 in an fbody?

and use that as the foundation to mod?

im thinking about it also would be interested to here any thoughts on this ... already have a good idea of what it will take to do a LTx to LSx conversion, and i actually look forward to the challenge when i do it

hell yeah the LS2 is the ****, you plan on going FI, nitrous or NA? the LS2 is a bigger cubed motor by itself stock,

I would not bother. What are the gains 50 ponies? Slap on a Procharger on the LS1 and be gone.

why not just buy a forged stroker lsx from TSP or something

It's kind of like swapping in a ls6. Just get what you already have rebuilt.

well for me (LT1 currently) it would be worth it if i didnt do a built motor during the conversion, if you had a LSx already i guess its not as big a deal

LS2 is stronger...and they are a great base to build off of, dont get me wrong a procharger on anything is good

if your motor was trashed and you need a swap anyway thats cheapers than the built motors, yeah/ (but cheapest i found on ebay was 9 grand!)

Still has to be forged to get into the 12+ psi range safely just like the LS1/LS6.

An LS2 would certainly be worth it if you could get it forged with more cubes!
