it was out on westheimer

tried to get a run in, but there was a lot of traffic, and cops.

it didn't look very fast for 500hp . I thought it might've been a GT, but I did hear the SC and bov. I'm sure I could've take him from a dig with my radials on.

that is the worst place to race. i was right behind a supra, and two SS camaros getting arrested and towed there a few years ago.

I'm amazed people still go to RSI.. cops definately know the spot.. its like a 5 year old mouse trap that goes off a few times a weekend.

I haven't seen one yet. I can't wait to happen across one in either the Formula or the Corvette. Hell, even the GT might be a decent race once the turbo is finished being installed.

yea, i'm always nervous when i try to go for a run. i've never been arrested for racing, but once they took me in (2001) because i was 5mph over, and i had warrants...

i hardly street race, i think i've only had like 2-3 runs on westheimer since then

RSI is way down westhimer past the mall.. the Viper shop and biker bar.. also a chopper store w/ some cool stuff. but thats where alot of the ricers go and make their 15 second passes

Ummm, I'm not so sure you heard the BOV, as I'm almost positive they don't have an externally bled BOV.

Its a heavy *** car, but with the right driver it will go toe to toe with the other contenders out there.

There's no BOV.

I see GT500's literally everyday. I do live in Dearborn, MI though which
Ford World HQ resides in. I haven't had the pleasure of ***-whooping, I mean
racing, one yet though.

I definately heard a FI component when he accelerated, and BOV when he let off. It was black and i couldn't get a good look at the emblems.

So roots style SC's dont use a bov? Centrifugal sc's do though, right? maybe it was an STS GT like Nine Ball is about to do.

I just find it amazing that ford is too cheap to paint the stripes on.. $50k for a car with vinyl stripes on it..

My friends neighbor traded in a C5Z06 for a white GT500. I to think its to blah....boring. After a week of owning it hes wishing he still had the vette hes not impressed with the GT500. Yes, This man can drive he has other toys as well I could say haha.

BOV?......the GT500 does not have a blow off valve, it has a positive displacement roots type blower....not a turbo, and I love Ford and GM but I agree with everyone here....the new stang is ugly in general, and the GT500 is overpriced and way too heavy, Ford dropped the ball, hopefully Chevy can pick it up and we see a descent camaro here in a year or two
