Default Cardinals MUST tank?!?

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2...ge=neel/060929

I hate to admit it but he couldn't be more right.

They have absolutely no chance of winning the WS so basically they'd be a waste of a playoff spot. At least Houston could possibly win the WS, especially now that the Mets have lost one of their aces. But damnit I hate the ******* Asstrolls!

The Cards pitching has gone to hell and not having Edmonds in the lineup has certainly affected the heart of their offense. The Astros have proven themselves as playoff contenders going on for the 3rd year in a row. Who'd be the beter pick for te playoffs? Obviously the Astros. Once the Astros have made the playoffs can they make it out of the 1st round? Certainly. We've split the series with both the Padres and the Dodgers. It's a whole new ballgame once the season is over and the playoffs begin. It doesn't matter which team struggled throughout the year or how certain teams dropped out of contention and/or worked themselvs into contention. All we can look at no is who has the momentum and has had it to finish the past 3 consecutive seasons?

Let's go 'Stros! Let's go Brewers!

As long as we make it to the first round......dreams cant be made in the off season. Crazy **** happens in the playoffs, make it to the first round and watch the fun begin. Besides, Im not ready for the Astros season to be over yet.

Cards will be an easy out in the playoffs, whereas ANY team who throws Clemens Pettitte and Oswalt has a great chance in a 5 game series.

Pitching wins in the playoffs and WS... Cards have one guy worth a damn and he can't pitch his way out of a wet paper sack this month.

Oswalt's ERA dropped below a 3.00 after yesterday's game. He's at 2.98!

I'm glad the Cards won. For a long time, I have been sick of ESPN and the rest of the northeast sports media talking about how superior American League teams are.
They totally screwed this playoff coverage up. First they said the Yankees were going to clean house. When that fell through, they went with their other home-town team, the Mets. When the Mets lost, there was only one team to root for...the American League Tigers. Well, look what happened. That team from the National League Central (the division everyone dogged this year...the team's in this division didn't have the best records, because it was so competitive...not because they sucked.) took the WS.

Congrats Cards.

We still swept your asses in 4 games the last time we met.
