Without causing enough drama that has already been started over here...
I will proceed to answer your question.
what is a respectable ET?
For me? I would be extremely happy to get into the 10's with the setup it is at now.
For guys like yourself who think horsepower is a one way ticket to the single digit club. No I am sure that wont be "respectful" enough.
Take my advice for what its worth
Calm the **** talking down to a classroom level, think about your next step in creating a "monster". When I say "monster" I am simply talking about a pure race car that you can go online with. Call out every badass street car in the Texas area that your envious of. Typing in CAPS bragging about pulling a 100k dollar street corvette that is "magazine material" while the whole time swinging your dick around in your other hand wishing you wouldn't have wasted 1/2 the time you have already spent on making yourself, your "ego", your "has been legend" look good in front of the few friends you still have and that still back you on this wonderful thing we call the internet.
All along sitting alone living with a friend to save money and crapping away all your hard worked cash to dump into the only thing that still gets you up in the morning.
- A used up LX coupe that more then likely wont even be "street legal". A car that cant even impress the cheapest hooker on westhimer on a Tuesday night gathering.
Lets flash forward...
...While you gloat about your time and the day you spent dragging the floor with this "corvette" this 408 Twin Turbo, this interent "POS". You will lay in bed starring at the wall realizing why again I wasted my time, and money proving a point that has no point in proving and then it will hit you that you are 30 years old. Still "playing" this game and wishing you were back in 1996 where you would pull up to a local meet and people would suck you off because you owned what is now a "legend to some". A car that built not only "street racing" we all know today, but your "ego".
The true story lines in this "GREAT WHITE" car that you seemed to have built... Maybe it lies deeper then that, maybe when you "lost" the car you lost a piece of Nick. Maybe you still get on ls1tech talking **** because you "were" a street racer. "THE" street racer.
And now you have nothing but a "dream" of building something one day to have the rebirth of Nick K. "The legend in his own mind".
Nick for your sake I hope you do achieve this goal and you do drag all the *** you can.
It seems deeper then just **** talking to me though. It seems that this "internet" crap motivates you and helps you accomplish your goals. Hell as long as it keeps you from putting a gun to your head, by all means I will play along with the story.
- I will try to run a "respectable" time to impress you with. I will even go out and purchase a CCW drag pack so I can show you what a "POS" the car really is.
No excuses Nick and at the end of that quarter mile marker, I will say to myself in a soft whisper... "This one was for you Nick K. ...... this one was for you....."
