Default Signs that you have a good shop, BIG PROPS TO SQR

I made a post about 2 weeks ago thinking I blew the short block on my Formula. Well I took my car to the place that built the car to have it looked over & see how bad the carnage was.

Dropped the car off this weekend & called Monday & left message on Monday. Well today I get the News

Was not a BLOWN SHORTBLOCK. But a BLOWN FUSE

Now I know of some shops that would have took advantage of this & took me to the bank & me being dumb when it comes to LS1's would have bought it hook line sinker.

I just want to sing my praise's about SIMPLE QUICK RACING & let everyone know that these guys are out to build you a FAST CAR, Not make money....

Thanks to Billy, Daniel, Scott, & Daniels Wife for putting up with all my phone calls.

Sebastian

How do you mistake a blown short block for a blown fuse?

Same thing happened to me when I removed the heads and swapped the lifters. It would idle fairly well, then sound like death if you tried to rev it at all. I finally realized one side of the headers was only getting slightly warm (from the compression) and the other side was blazing hot.

Good to hear Jerry those worked out for you. Make sure to just be careful on that 10 bolt.

How much ET did you drop with the addition of those rims & tires

Ditto here. The car would idle great. But when you reved it. It sounded like something major was wrong. Never would have guessed a fuse could cause that & the result of a blown fuse would make my car run on 4 cyc

I believe it's the firing order that makes it run so smoothly on one cylinder bank. I'm sure if you unplugged 1,2,3,4, it would idle like ****, but as long as 1-3-5-7 or 2-4-6-8 is dead, you're decent.
