DFW Tuning?
I have a car that just had heads/cam installed and it's obviously in dire need of a tune. I called SQR but they said they're about three months back on tunes. Holy **** is right.
Know of any other places/people?

usually from what i've seen at SQR they keep the cars for atleast a few days to make sure things are good. you don't want a shop to bring it in, tune it for a few minutes and then send you on your way, it wont be right that way.

i understand that completely. dont ask me how i know. i was surprised when she said a week, but i was planning for two days anyway. when i get back from my trip im gonna try to reschedule. i would honestly leave it there a month if thats what it took to get it running right. i hate driving this thing now.

Just thought I would add some info on keeping a car for a week on a tune. If you go there with the right fuel and the tank full. New plugs to fit the right heat range on the mod you have done and the car; tranny; rearend; tires all in good shape there is no reason to keep it a week if they know what they are doing. If I was in West Texas I could help, but I am not. If you ever get to Houston, I can recommend Conley's Performance Plus as long as there are no complication it can be tuned on a Mustang Dyno with 02 Sensor for AFR in an hour- 2hours. They have done a bunch of Gen 3 and Gen 4 with cams heads nitrous; super chargers; turbos; and have many tunes that will get them real close in just a couple of pulls. LOL

They dont like to keep cars a few days cause it takes that long to get the A/F right, its to get the driveability good.Your not going to get that with an hours time on the dyno.

If you have never had any experience with RPM then you shouldn't post **** like that, who ever told you that doesn't know what the **** they are talking about. Brian does all the tuning at RPM and has for a long time now, they do alot of cars with very little complaints which you will always have with some customers, you can't always please everyone. With that said I would suggest HPP in Lewisville, they can tune LS1's and do a great job.
