Default Inspection Question...

If my SES light is on, and its throwing a rear cat code... will it pass inspection....

One of my rear o2 dummie sensors and part of the harness was yanked off by something i ran over on the freeway; and now its time for the dreaded yearly inspection

SES light = instant fail

The SES light must also function (turns on when the key is turned on) and go off.

Go get the codes tuned out. MTI did mine for $75, but anyone with the right licenses and HPTuners/EFI live/LS1 edit can do it.

So even if the SES light is on for other things it will fail? I have plenty of codes for my transmission since I have a TH350 right now.

What about the ABS inop? I have a 12 bolt with no ABS.

Thanks

ABS light on is OK, its the SES that cant be on. The PCM must also be in a "ready" state, which means that you cant just reset the PCM and drive in there and expect to pass. It stays in "not ready" unitil you do a few driving cycles after resetting the PCM.

Any tuner can delete any codes you have, even the trans codes. Its pretty cheap too.
