Default DLP Question

Can't afford 1080p, but can afford 720p. Samsung HL-S5686W

I can get the above TV free shipping, free TV stand (a $225), and free DVD Recorder ($120 value), all for around $2000.

Is this a good buy? WE're gonna go see the TV in the store today, it does have good reviews.

Input......need input.

Depending on how large of a set you want, and how long you want to wait, there's some good deals coming out between now and Thanksgiving. I just set up my new 1080p 42" LCD flat panel monitor last night, paid 1402 shipped (1298 + 104 freight). The Xbox looks bad *** at 1920x1080 ... Surfing the web on it kicks *** too, its as clear as a desktop monitor, just a helluva lot bigger

As for some more deals, Best Buy is having a "door buster" sale on a 720p flat panel (can't remember if its LCD or plasma or the size) on Black Friday, for $999

If i was you i would wait tell you can afford the 1080p, if you get the 720p you wont be satisfied at all.

I got my 42" plasma, stand and 2.1 surround sound/dvd player for 2400, just picked it up from best buy. There are specials all the time, you can forsure get the 1080p for your 2g's.

Yea, just about anywhere you can get a plasma or HDILA or DLP between 32" and 52" with 1080i for around the $2000 mark. They usually throw in the TV stand for free if you really have a good salesperson.

Ok, ya'll. Went for the 1080p for only $300 more, came in @ $2199 with free stand and DVD recorder.

There was a BIG difference between the 720 and 1080p. We did the touchy feely thing as well.

This is what we got!

Thanks for the input ya'll!
