DFW body shop
Hey guys I need some help finding a GOOD body shop around the DFW area, preferably around Plano. I tried a search but didn't get much help. The damage is pretty minor but I believe its going to need a new hood, and instead of going with a stock hood I am going with a VFN sunoco hood. If I have to get a new hood anyways I should be able to get whichever one I want through insurance, right? Help me out guys I want this to look good.

were you in an accedent?? Ins will prolly give you $500.00 check for the hood and you can spend it on what you want. Hood should be pretty easy to change with basic tools, order your vfn hood and do it yourself.

Yea I was in a small accident. I am going to need to get it painted and have the front bumper cover fixed so I just figured it would be easier to let the shop do all of it and charge insurance.

Insurance might figure in a "used Z28 hood" and not a new GM one. Make sure you fight for a NEW GM hood and nothing used. Wholesale from GM would be around the $1100 mark. Spend that towards a VFN hood and the repaint.

This guy isnt in plano but will defenantly hook you up. His name is Dru, 817-526-1169. His paint jobs are hands down very affordable on the wallet but highest quality around. Unless your pockets are as deep as $5000 paint jobs.

So, does that mean that your paint job was a really good deal OR it was way expensive. Cause that would contradict your saying that Dru offers great deals ??????
I'm asking because I need a paint job as well. It's hard to find a shop that does quality and has decent pricing. I've been in both boats...paid a cheap price...got a cheap paint job. I've also paid big $$ and got a shitty paint job.

Come on guys somebody has to know a quality shop around here. I'm not too concerned with money since insurance will be taking care of the bill, I just want everything to line up when its done.
